The chapel is located at the end of the transept on the right hand side and is of the same design as the Chapel of St Bruno situated in front. The Chapel can be reached through a solemn lower arch. It was built in 1746 by the architect Clemente Orlandi (1704 – 1775) and was dedicated to the Carthusian cardinal Niccolò Albergati who was beatified by Pope Benedict XIV on 25 September 1744 . There is a cross shaped vault in the Chapel which was decorated by Antonio Biccherai and Giovanni Mezzetti. The middle of the vault portrays an image of the Holy Spirit with cherubs and images of the Doctors of the Church: Girolamo, Agostino, Ambrogio and Gregorio can be seen in the panels.

The painting, “A Miracle of the Blessed Niccolò Albergati” by the artist from Bologna , Ercole Graziani (1688 – 1756) stands on the altar.
